A pedestal stove mounts the firebox of a stove onto a pillar base for an ultra-contemporary style. This raised design brings the burning flames to eye level when sitting on your favourite sofa or chair giving you the perfect view of the fire.

Thanks to the raised firebox, pedestal stoves do not require to be installed on a full constructional hearth. You will still need a hearth or floor plate made from a non-combustible material that measures 12mm in depth, this is known as the decorative hearth. Popular choices of floor plates for these modern stoves include clear or smoked glass, slate and granite.
