What do you mean by air vent not normally needed

Hi, thanks for your enquiry. Air bricks or other ventilation must be installed for gas fires which are over 7Kw of input, this extra ventilation can be calculated at 5cm squared per kilowatt over 7Kw of input. This fire has an input of 6.5kW, so an air vent isn't normally required for this fire.
