Hi Could I just ask how the fire is secured to the fire surround once its positioned in the insert. Does it use some form of clip or does the fire surround need to be drilled? Thanks Ian

Thanks for your enquiry. This electric fire does not need to be fixed to a fireplace surround. It is designed to stand freely on the hearth or it can be sealed to the fireplace surround if preferred.
