Can you place these acoustic panels behind a wood burning stove flue (only the actual wood burner has flame retardant tiles etc behind it). The panel would be about 9-10 inches away from the flue? Thanks
Hi, thank you for your enquiry. If it is single wall, you would need to have a clearance of 3 times the diameter of the flue pipe to combustible items. For example, if it is a 5 inch flue, you would need a 15 inch clearance to combustible items. Our twin wall flue needs a clearance of 50mm to combustible items.
So if it is a twin wall system, it could be suitable, provided it would still meet the minimum distances from the stove. However, if it is a single wall flue, then it won't be suitable as there isn't enough clearance.
