Can the pilot light be lit with a taper or only by the ignition system?

Hi, thanks for your enquiry. This item can be lit with a taper, It’s a little fiddly but can be done. In the instruction guide for this item, they do advise that this is possbile by lighting the burner
through the ignition hole.
