Manufactured from natural oak the aged rustic oak fireplace beam in medium oak is a popular choice for traditional homes. Distressed edges and a textured surface gives the appearance of a worn, classic, aged oak beam which is perfect for use with multifuel. gas or electric stoves. The stylish medium oak finish is achieved using a wood stain that sinks deep into the wood, followed by a top coat of wax to ensure a longer lasting finish.
Every rustic oak beam is air dried for up to 3 years to enhance the rustic appearance and to ensure there is minimal movement once installed. Each aged rustic stove beam supplied has its own individual characteristics, no beam will have the same features, making each one very unique. Supplied with concealed brackets the rustic stove beam in medium oak is very simple to fit.
As each oak stove beam is a natural product they vary with regards to: cracks, knots, colour and grain pattern. As the beam adjusts to the temperature further cracks may appear, this is nothing to worry about, it adds to the characteristics of the beam.
